On Monday, 16-year-old Jeff Weise went on a rampage, shooting to death his grandfather and the grandfather’s companion, then invading his school on the Red Lake Indian Reservation. Armed with two pistols and a shotgun, he killed nine people and wounded seven before shooting himself to death in the nation’s bloodiest school shooting since Columbine High in Colorado six years ago.
He created comic books with ghastly drawings of people shooting each other and wrote stories about zombies. He dressed in black, wore eyeliner and apparently admired Hitler and called himself the “Angel of Death” in German.
Liebe Deutsche, ihr muesst endlich etwas tun, dass Hitler als Exportschlager Nummer Eins verdraengt wird.
Ich konnte die deutsche Berichterstattung ueber das Desaster leider nicht verfolgen, aber einen Artikel aus dem Spiegel zum Ereignis habe ich noch im Gedaechtnis, der sofort den Schuldigen fand: Videospiele. Interessant…

Es gibt einen super Standup von Chris Rock, in welchem er sich darüber aufregt, dass die Medien immer wissen wollen, was die Killerschüler gespielt oder gehört haben. Er fragt: “what were they listening to? what were they listening to? who cares what they were listening to! what was hitler listening to? what was in his CD case?”
Können Amokläufer nicht einfach crazy sein?
